protection is activated to deactivate the power amps as long as it takes for the cooling fans to cool
down the temperature to the accepted maximum level. While this protection is activated an
information appears in the digital display pointing out the problem.
DANTE OPTION
The
TA 2D
officially speaks DANTE. The optional DANTE card enables uncompressed transmission
of low-latency digital audio over long distances and to multiple locations. Adding a Dante option
card to your KS product makes your audio routing even easier and more convenient, perfect for
delivering audio in excellent quality.
KS REMOTE CONTROL
Via an Ethernet 1GBit connection, user-specific settings
can be made from PC and stored in a preset memory.
Three fully parametric band filters, low and high
shelving, level, delay, limit and additional monitoring
of signal and temperature are available. The remote
control software KS REMOTE allows the compilation of
arbitrary setups from different KS components, even
with different connections to the host computer. A
detailed description can be found within the
corresponding manual.
DISPLAY
Text and graphics are with a high-contrast colored
800x600 pixels display. The brightness is adjustable - from brilliant bright to absolutely not
disturbing.
CONTROLS
The
TA 2D
is operated via a rotary pulse transmitter with short-stroke switches as well as 4
directional and 2 input keys. The menu navigation in the display is intuitive and leads immediately
to an applicable Result. Apart from the key operation, an identical user interface can be used with
each Browser can be achieved by selecting the devices IP. A remote control is therefore without
additional hardware or software installation possible.
CHANGING VALUES
After turning on your amplifier, the
TA 2D
display will show the KS logo for some seconds. Then
you will see the status window. For a moment you can see which KS loudspeaker and in which
operating mode the
TA 2D
is configured. Also the most important operating conditions (for
example red crosses, because you pressed the mute buttons, are displayed here. The enter key will
take you to the operating menu. Pressing the right arrow key takes you to the config menu. Arrow
down and enter key now allows you to select the operating mode for channels 1 and 2. You
confirm your choice with Yes.
With the esc key you are leaving the config menu and you can change it with the Right arrow key in
the menu for channel 1 / 2. Arrow key down and enter key now allows you to select your
loudspeaker. You confirm your choice with Yes again. If you are now still in the menu item Input in
the same way your input then your system is already functional. An existing Input signal is
indicated by the green LEDs on the Keys that you can now share.
