IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be observed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following :
. Read all instructions.
. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put the
appliance, the cord or the plug in water or other liquid.
. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or
near children.
. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking
off parts, and before cleaning.
. Avoid contact with moving parts.
. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or
after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in
any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized KRUPS
Service Center for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical
adjustment (see GUARANTEE OF PERFORMANCE).
. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by KRUPS may
cause fire, electric shock or injury.
. Do not use outdoors.
. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
. Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
. Never feed food into machine by hand. Always use completely
assembled slicer with carriage feeder and food grip.
. Blade is sharp. Handle carefully when cleaning. Do not touch the
sharp edge of the blade.
. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
. Using the safety switch prevents accidental operation of the
slicer. On/Off switch will not function unless used in conjunction
with safety switch.
. Do not use the appliance for longer than 10 minutes in constant
use, then leave it cool down for one hour.
. Do not attempt to slice frozen food, bones, etc...
