3.3.2 Stand-off Assembly, Insulation Piece,
and Header Heat Shields Installation
1. Locate the stand-off assembly, header heat shields, and
insulation piece on top of the fireplace, as shipped.
2. Align the holes in the stand-off assembly with the holes on top
of the fireplace in order to accommodate your finishing material
installation. Attach the stand-off assembly to the fireplace using
(4) screws, as shown.
3. Place the insulation piece in between the two stand-off
assemblies, as shown. The insulation piece must be pushed tight
against the required non-combustible material (board).
4. Attach the lower header heat shield to the stand-off assembly
as shown. Start at the bottom and align the holes on the lower
header heat shield with the holes on stand-off assembly and
attach with (8) screws.
5. Position appliance into rough opening before attaching the
upper header heat shield. Attach the upper header heat shield to
the stand-off assembly with (8) screws.
