Operation
The TRR-E is set into operation and switched off using an incoming preliminary switch (separate or part of the VS1 mains
plug), or it can be switched off or its activity controlled using a R10A spatial thermostat. The electric heating element installed
in the TRR-E operates for the whole time the switch is switched on, i.e. the whole time it is connected to the mains.
If the element is not heating, this is an error state. This could happen in the following ways:
1. The temperature limiter switches off the electric heating element.
A temperature limiter is installed inside the electric heating element. This is intended to protect the user against the
consequences of the TRR-E overheating if the conditions for correct use are not adhered to. If the temperature of the
liquid in the TRR-E exceeds 90°C, the limiter breaks (disconnects) the electric circuit of the electric heating element
and makes it impossible for the contact to be closed again until the TRR-E has cooled down sufficiently. Once the
liquid in the TRR-E has cooled down sufficiently, the limiter again connects the electric circuit of the electric heating
element. If the temperature of the TRR-E fluctuates significantly during long-term operation of the electric heating
element, this may be caused by the temperature limiter switching off. This situation only occurs if the conditions for
correct use are not adhered to.
- the TRR-E cannot transfer heat to the environment – drying a large amount of textiles
Make sure that you do not cover the surface of the TRR-E with a large amount of textiles!
- liquid has leaked from the TRR-E
Immediately disconnect the electric heating element from the mains supply and arrange repair with the
manufacturer. There is a danger of damage to the electric heating element and the TRR-E.
2. There is a defect with the electrical supply equipment
Perform a check of the electrical supply equipment and remove any defects. Checking and removing defects to the
electrical supply equipment may only be performed by a person with the pertinent electrotechnical qualifications.
After the defect has been removed and the TRR-E has been switched on, it should work normally.
3. The appliance is damaged
Disconnect the TRR-E from the mains and contact the manufacturer who will ensure professional repair. Parties
that have not been authorised by the manufacturer of the TRR-E to interfere with the construction of the appliance
must not do so.
Safety instructions
-
If water gets into the mains plug, you must not plug it into the socket! Have it repaired by a specialist.
-
Do not place the power cable on the heated TRR-E. A damaged power cable may only be replaced by the
manufacturer of the electric heating element or other qualified party, in order to avoid any danger!
-
Any interference with the TRR-E, during which the integrity of the TRR-E is breached, may only be
performed by a person with the pertinent electrotechnical qualifications, who is also trained for this
purpose by the manufacturer of the TRR-E.
-
If the power cable is damaged, immediately disconnect the electric heating element from the mains and
have it repaired by a specialist!
-
If any leakage of the heat-carrying medium from the radiator is ascertained, the electric heating element
must be immediately disconnected from the mains supply and repair arranged with the manufacturer. If
there is any leakage of the heat-carrying medium, there is a danger of damage to the electric heating
element in the TRR-E.
-
If the radiator overheats and the temperature limiter is tripped, remove the cause or call in a specialist.
-
This appliance is only designed for drying textile material washed in water!
-
Climbing on the TRR and hanging heavy items from it is forbidden!
-
The electric heating element is not designed for use by people (including children) whose physical,
sensory or mental disability or lack of experience and knowledge, prevents them from using it safely
unless supervised or instructed with regards to use of the appliance by the person responsible for their
safety.
-
Children must not be left to play unsupervised with the electric heating element or with its accessories.
Warranty
The manufacturer guarantees that the product will have the properties determined by the pertinent technical norms for the
whole duration of the warranty period subject to the condition that it is mounted and used in the method described in these
instructions. The warranty does not relate to mechanical damage and defects caused by non-adherence to the instructions
for mounting and operation as set out in these operating instructions.
The product must always be sent with the warranty certificate for warranty repairs. An accompanying letter must be attached
to the product with a description of the claim. Claims made during the warranty period must be submitted to the dealer where
the product was purchased or directly to the manufacturer. Products for which claims are made must be suitably packed in
such a way that they are not damaged during transportation and further handling.
Important notice:
The product is protected against overheating by a temperature limiter located inside the
heating element. If the liquid inside the TRR overheats, the limiter will disconnect the
element from the electrical circuit and thus prevent a further increase in temperature and
creation of any danger. If you find that the TRR is cold despite the fact that the electric
heating element is switched on, this need not necessarily be caused by a defect in the
heating element. Please read the attached instructions carefully and follow them!
