KORALUX towel rail radiators with electric heating
KORALUX towel rail radiators with electric heating of the heat-carrying medium (hereinafter referred to only as TRR-E)
are designed for heating of bathrooms, corridors, WCs and gyms etc. When using the radiator for drying textiles, only textiles
washed in water can be dried.
Description
For heating of the heat-carrying medium, the TRR-E is fitted with an electric heating element (hereinafter referred to only
as electric heating element), which is equipped with a temperature limiter with switching temperature of 90°C. This is only an
emergency component which is used as protection against overheating of the element but not as an operational thermostat.
When used correctly (i.e. when used in accordance with the instructions as set out in these operating instructions), the heat of
the heat-carrying medium in the TRR-E must not reach the switching temperature of the limiter.
An antifreeze mix is used as the heat-carrying medium for filling the TRR-E, which allows for use of the TRR-E in buildings
with an anticipated temperature drop below the freezing point (down to –10°C) during the winter.

Mounting and positioning
The TRR-E is always mounted in a vertical position with the electric heating element located in the lower bushing (mains
supply at the bottom - Fig.3)
. No other position of the element is permissible!
Before mounting the TRR-E, you must
check whether there is any damage to the power cable for the electric heating element. You must not install a TRR-E with
damaged electric heating element!
Mounting of the TRR-E may only be performed by a person with the pertinent
professional electrotechnical qualifications.
The electrical supply equipment, to which the electric heating element will be
connected, must meet the requirements of regulations for connection of class I appliances of the required power output. In
bathrooms and shower areas, the electrical supply equipment must use an appropriate and functioning circuit breaker and
fulfil the provisions of the ČSN 33 2000-7-701 norm (or IEC 60364-7-701). In the event of mounting outside the territory of the
Czech Republic, the corresponding national regulations must be followed.
The TRR-E must not be positioned in zones 0 and 1 in bathrooms
(according to ČSN 33 2000-7-701 or IEC 60364-7-
701) (see Fig. 1 in these operating instructions). The electric heating element is connected to the installation box of the fixed
electrical distribution mains fulfilling the pertinent regulations for connection of class I appliances of the pertinent power
output and rated voltage of 230V 50/60Hz. The electrical supply equipment must be fitted with a switch, which allows the user
to safely disconnect the element from the mains. It is recommended that, for example, you fit the electrical supply equipment
with a spatial thermostat or timer. We recommend you use other accessories for KORALUX TRR, which are fitted to the end of
the power supply cable, for connection of the electric heating element to the mains. This concerns the
R10A (Z-SKV-0003,
Fig. 4) electric thermostat with integrated mains plug or VS1 mains plug with switch (Z-SKV-0002, Fig. 5)
.
Mounting and replacement of the R10A and VS1 may only be performed by a person with the pertinent professional
electrotechnical qualifications.
The R10A electric thermostat and VS1 mains plug with switch must not be positioned
