Instructions for the Installation and Removal of
Assemblies and Components
Repairs on the device may only be carried out by authorized
qualified personnel. Unauthorized opening or unqualified
repairs can result in considerable risk to the user
(electrocution, fire).
Assemblies with electrostatically sensitive devices
(ESD) can be identified by the illustrated sticker:
This applies especially to ISA/PCI cards.
When handling assemblies with ESD warnings, the following instructions must be
observed:
1.
You must discharge static electricity (e.g., by touching an earthen object)
before working with assemblies.
2.
Devices and tools used must be free from static charges.
3.
Pull out the main plug before connecting or disconnecting assemblies.
4.
Only hold the assemblies at the edge.
5.
Do not touch any connection pins or conductors on the assembly.
