5.1.8.
BIOS Recovery Jumper
The BIOS recovery jumper is located on the motherboard (Figure 23, pos. 4). If the BIOS is corrupt and the KBox A-103
cannot be booted (e.g. by a power failure while saving the BIOS settings), the system can be booted via a recovery
BIOS. The default setting of J49 is OPEN (Figure 33, left image). After J49 has been set to CLOSED (Figure 33, right
image), the system can be booted from the recovery BIOS. For further information, contact Kontron support.

5.1.9.
Replacing the optional Lithium Battery
To replace the optional lithium battery (Figure 25, pos. 9) please proceed according to the steps described:
1.
Open the KBox A-103 as described in the section 5.1 “Opening and Closing the KBox A-103”, steps 1 to 4.
2.
Remove the old lithium battery from the battery clip.
3.
Attach new lithium battery to the battery clip.
4.
In order to close the KBox A-103, proceed in reverse order.
