If your system has a PNP OS, such as Win98,
select Yes to let the OS configure PNP devices
not required for boot. Selecting No makes the
BIOS configure them.
Reset Configuration Data

Yes
Yes erases all configuration data in Extended
System Configuration Data (ESCD), which stores
the configuration settings for plug-in devices.
Select Yes when required to restore the
manufacturer’s defaults.
Secured Setup Configuration
Yes
No
Yes prevents a Plug and Play OS from changing
system settings.

Opens PCI Advanced submenu.
PS/2 Mouse
Auto Detect
Enabled
Disabled
Disabled prevents installed PS/2 mouse from
functioning but frees up IRQ12.
Enabled forces the PS/2 mouse port to be
enabled regardless if a mouse is present.
Autodetect enables the PS/2 mouse only if
present.
