c If the button text reads "ON", then
footrope detection is enabled. If
the button text reads "OFF", then
footrope detection is disabled.
Tip
If the footrope or bottom is not being
tracked correctly, you can reset
footrope detection by disabling it,
then enabling it again. When footrope detection restarts, the software will re-draw
the footrope and bottom lines based on the latest data.
2 If the trawl is touching the bottom, confirm in the software that the bottom is present.
If the trawl is touching the bottom, the software may not be able to distinguish between
the footrope and the bottom. In this case confirm that the trawl is touching the bottom.
As a result, zero clearance will be shown in the overlay (C).

b If the button text reads "ON", then you have confirmed that the bottom is present.
If the button text reads "OFF", then you have not confirmed that the bottom is
present.

Applying filters
Filters are algorithms that reduce noise clutter in the trawl images. You can apply a Ping to
Ping, Noise Reduction, or a Limit Strong Targets filter to the sonar view.
Prerequisites
The Sonar Head must be running to do this procedure.
Context
These buttons are located on the top bar.
Note
These filters only apply to the net opening sonar view, not
the up and down-sounder views.
