
11. Take out the strainer (6).
12. Remove the dirt from strainer (6), then wash it in the clean
diesel fuel or flushing oil.
If the strainer (6) is damaged, replace it with a new one.
13. Install the strainer (6) to the case.
Replace the O-ring (7) on the strainer with a new one.
14. Install the tube (5) and U-clamp (4).
Replace the O-ring (8) of tube (5) with a new one.
15. Add the specified amount of oil through the oil filler port
(F).
16. After adding oil, check that the oil level is correct by refer-
ring to “METHOD FOR CHECKING OIL LEVEL IN
TRANSMISSION CASE, ADDING OIL (4-23)”.
17. Check the transmission case and transmission oil filter for
oil leakage.
METHOD FOR CLEANING TRANSMISSION BREATHER

WARNING
Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
1.
Open cover (1) at the rear of cab, and fix it with the band.
2.
Remove mud and dirt around the breather.
3.
Remove breather (2).
Take care to prevent dirt from entering through the mount-
ing section of the breather.
4.
Immerse the breather in detergent liquid, and clean it.
5.
Install the breather.
6.
Release the lock of cover (1), then close the cover.
