16. Drain the coolant in reservoir tank (6).
17. Clean the inside of reservoir tank.
18. Add Non-Amine Engine Coolant (AF-NAC) to the middle
between FULL and LOW.
19. Stop the engine.
20. Approximately 3 minutes later, add Non-Amine Engine
Coolant (AF-NAC) up to the mouth of the coolant filler port.
21. Tighten the radiator cap.
22. Close cover (1) on the top of radiator.
NOTICE
After changing the coolant, as time passes, the coolant level of reservoir tank may drop largely.
Operation with low coolant level may cause damage of EGR cooler in the worst case, and it may lead to
serious failure such as seizure inside of the engine.
Especially before starting the engine at the next day of the coolant change, be sure to perform “METH-
OD FOR CHECKING COOLANT LEVEL, ADDING COOLANT (3-172)”.
METHOD FOR CHECKING OIL LEVEL IN TRANSMISSION CASE, ADDING OIL
k
k
WARNING
Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
Perform this operation when ooze of oil on the transmission case is recognized or when oil in the coolant is rec-
ognized.
1.
Stop the engine.
REMARK
You cannot measure the exact oil level until 12 hours elapses after the engine is stopped because the oil
remains in various parts.
2.
Set the frame lock bar to LOCK position (L).
3.
Remove the cap of oil filler port (F).
4.
Check the oil level with sight gauge (G).
The oil level is correct if it is within range (A) at upper part
of sight gauge (G).
