Clean the grease nipples before applying the greasing pump.
q
After lubrication, remove all the contaminated grease that may have spread out of the nipples.
q
If the machine is used in difficult conditions, carry out this operation more frequently than usual.
q
As a general rule, it is important to consider that each cylinder is provided with two grease nipples
positioned on the couplings and that each pin serving as fulcrum point for a movement is provided
with at least one grease nipple.
q
When running in a new machine, lubricate every 10 hours for the first 100 hours of operation.
Lubricating the components of the swing system
REMARK
When grease is injected to lubricate the swing pinion and fifth wheel, turn the turret slowly to change the position
for greasing.
1. Carefully clean the grease nipples (1) and (2), and inject
the grease indicated in the lubricant chart using a grease
pump (see "FUEL, COOLANT AND LUBRICANTS (4-
12)").
2. After greasing, remove any trace of grease.
(1) Swing pinion (1 point)
(2) Fifth wheel (1 point)
Lubricating the work equipment
NOTICE
After carrying out digging operations with the equipment immersed in water, always lubricate the pins that
have been in contact with water..
1. Position the machine as shown in the figure, lower the
work equipment to the ground and stop the engine.
2. Carefully clean the grease nipples listed below, and inject
the grease indicated in the lubricant chart using a grease
pump (see"FUEL, COOLANT AND LUBRICANTS (4-12)").
3. After greasing, remove any trace of grease.
