SHOE FIXING SCREWS CHECK AND TIGHTENING 4
(Machines with steel tracks and track pads)
WARNING

To compensate for the inevitable settling movements,
it is indispensable to check the tightening torque of
the screws (1) after the first 30 hours of operation.
Carry out another check after the first 100 hours of
running-in and, if the screws have become loose
again, repeat the check after 200 hours of operation.

If the screws (1) become loose and are not tightened at
the required torque, the useful life of the tracks will be
shorter.
q
After tightening, make sure that the nut and the track
are in contact with the surface of the link.
The check must be carried out with the machine parked on
level ground.
Track pad fixing screws tightening
Tighten the screws with a torque of 127-142 Nm, making sure
that the nut and the track are in contact with the surface of the
link.
Tightening sequence
The screw tightening sequence for each element must be 1-2-
3-4, as shown in the figure.
After tightening, make sure that the nut and the track are in
contact with the surface of the link.
