If a problem has been detected in any of these sensors, the system is automatically stopped and the swing
speed is limited. At the same time, the hybrid caution lamp and action levels “L04” to “L02” are displayed on the
machine monitor to warn about the problem. In this case, stop the operation immediately and ask your Komatsu
distributor to perform the inspection and repair.
If the machine is moved while the hybrid caution lamp and action levels “L04” to “L02” are displayed, follow the
instructions below.

WARNING
If a hybrid system problem occurs (the hybrid caution lamp and action levels “L04” to “L02” are dis-
played), move the machine to a safe place and slowly lower the work equipment to the ground. Then
immediately ask your Komatsu distributor for the inspection and repair.
If a problem occurs while working on the slopes and soft ground, observe the following instructions, set
the machine in a safe posture, and lower the work equipment to the ground.
• Do not operate the swing parking brake cancel switch on the slopes. There is a danger that the up-
per structure may hydraulically drifts on a slope.
If it is necessary to perform the swing to avoid danger during the system automatic stop, follow the following
procedures.
1.
Set the bucket height to just above the ground.
((a) is 20 to 30 cm high from the ground.)
2.
On the slopes, perform the inching operation of the swing
parking brake cancel switch to the releasing direction (a).
Slowly perform the hydraulic drift of the upper structure to
the safe direction .
3.
On the level ground, hold the swing parking brake cancel
switch in the releasing direction (a). Slowly push or pull the
bucket with another construction machine to make it
swing.
4.
After moving the machine to a safe place, slowly lower the
work equipment to the ground.
5.
Ask your Komatsu distributor for the inspection and repair.
