Set safety lock lever (2) to the LOCK position, then check
that the machine does not move even when the levers
and pedals are operated.

The work equipment and swing do not move when the left
and right work equipment control levers are operated.
8.
The machine does not travel when the left and right travel
levers are operated.
9.
The blade does not move when the blade control lever is
operated.
10. The boom swing does not move when the boom swing
control pedal is operated.
3.3.3 STOPPING THE ENGINE
IMPORTANT
• If the engine is stopped abruptly, service life of component parts of the engine may be considerably re-
duced. Hence do not stop the engine abruptly except in an emergency. If the engine has overheated, do
not try to stop it abruptly but run it at medium speed to allow it to cool down gradually, and then stop it.
1.
Run the engine at low idling for about 5 minutes to cool
down gradually.
2.
Turn the key of starting switch (1) to the OFF position to
stop the engine.
3.
Remove the key from starting switch (1).
