and segments of the disk icon bounce up and back, serving as a level
meter (similar to the levels commonly displayed on audio equipment like
tape decks). The bouncing segments provide feedback, a visual indication
that sound is being recorded. The best quality recording should occur
when 4-5 segments are on.

The camera cannot play the recorded sound; instead, you will need to use
your computer as described in Chapter 7. Chapter 8 contains additional
reference material about recorded sound files.
Turning off the Camera
If you are done with the camera system, turn it off by sliding the power
switch to off (O).
