PEDALTONE PANEL FUNCTIONS
[1] VOLUME:
Controls the volume level of the Clean
channel (CH1).
[2] BASS & TREBLE:
Classic passive tone controls
that regulate low and high frequencies of the Clean
channel (CH1).
[3] GAIN:
Controls the amount of distortion in the
Overdrive channel (CH2).
[4] VOLUME:
Controls the volume level of the
Overdrive channel (CH2).
[5] BASS, MID & TREBLE:
Classic post-distortion
passive tone controls that regulate low, mid and high
frequencies of the Overdrive channel (CH2).
[6] RHYTHM VOLUME:
If this control is activated with
the Solo/Rhythm switch (see
[12]
), it functions as a
master volume and can be used to preset a (lower)
Rhythm volume.
[7] DRIVE:
Controls the amount of distortion of the
0.5W tube power amp which is built-in in the
Pedaltone. (see also
[11]
Power Amp)
[8] VOLUME:
Controls the volume level of the internal
0.5W tube power amp.
[9] CH1 / CH2:
Selects between the Clean channel
(CH1) and the Overdrive channel (CH2). The red LED
indicates that the Overdrive channel is active.
[10]
CH2-BOOST:
If the Overdrive channel (CH2) is
active
[9]
, this switch selects between a Normal
distortion and a High-Gain distortion sound . The red
LED indicates that the High-Gain distortion mode is
active.
NOTE: If CH2 BOOST is on, squealing and/or
excessive hum and noise may occur, due to
microphonic guitar pick-ups and/or insufficient
screening of guitar circuitry.
CH1-ENHANCE:
If the Clean channel (CH1) is active
[9]
, this switch activates an
ENHANCER
on the Clean
sound, only if the mode switch
[17]
is in the upper
position. The red LED indicates that the
enhancer
is
active.
An ENHANCER is a filter that cuts the mids and boosts
the high-end. Sounds great for rhythm and open
chords.
[11] POWER AMP:
The Pedaltone is equipped with a
0.5 Watts all-tube power amp. This unique feature
enables you to add real tube-power-amp distortion to all
your sounds, clean as well as distorted! If CH1 is on,
you can create nice and musical saturation of clean
tones; if CH2 is on, you can fatten up all your crunchy
or high-gain distortion tones.
This switch places the tube-power-amp in the signal
path, the yellow LED indicates that the power amp is
active.
[12] SOLO/RHYTHM:
Determines if the Rhythm
Volume control
[6]
is activated (Rhythm) or bypassed
(Solo). If the Solo mode is active the signal is sent
straight into the output section, thus bypassing the
Rhythm Volume and creating a louder Solo sound. The
green LED indicates that the Solo mode is active.
[13] TO POWER AMP:
For connecting the Pedaltone
to an external seperate (19") power amp.
[
14] TO FX RETURN:
For connecting the Pedaltone to
the effects RETURN jack from the Effects Loop of an
external guitar amp head or combo. This guitar amp
will now serve as a power amplifier for the Pedaltone
(including speaker or speaker cabinet); the amp’s
preamp section will be disconnected.
[15] HEADPHONES OUTPUT:
Provided for the
connection of a set of headphones. Before reaching
this output jack, the signal is led through a filter that
simulates the sound picked up by a microphone in front
of a guitar speaker or speaker cabinet. This output
enables you to use the Pedaltone as a practice amp.
