TROUBLES AND REMEDIES
TROUBLE
POSSIBLE CAUSE
REMEDY
Air leaking from exhaust
port.
O-rings (10, 12, 16, 20, u. 23) damaged or
dirty.
Clean or replace parts.
Blow does not take place.
Driver is jammed by a fastener.
Control parts move with difficulty
after long term storage.
Use the lever (55) to unlock the guide
plate (45) and swing this upwards.
Remove the jammed staple. Lock the
guide plate again.
Increase air pressure and make some
trial blows. Then reduce air pressure
immediatel.
Idle impact or fasteners
(staples) are not fully driven
in.
Tool exhausts considerably in the
lowest position of the piston, O-ring
(16), bumper (28), Cylinder ring (21)
worn or damaged. No backstroke.
Tool without sufficient lubrication.
Air pressure too low.
Tool jumps.
Connection hose too long. Diameter
reduced in the air line or in the
maintenance unit (fall of pressure).
Piston completely (18A) damaged.
Tip of driver worn.
Penetration setting wrongly adjusted.
Replace damaged parts.
Clean the interior pieces, grease the
counter surfaces of the O-rings and
the surface of the cylinder. Check the
lubricator.
Adjust to correct air pressure (min. 5
bar / 0,5 MPa).
Press tool more firmly onto the
workpiece.
Investigate and correct trouble.
Grind face of driver tip.
Set correctly according (see 5)
Nailer operates too slowly.
Safety yoke (43) sluggish.
Control parts frozen-up.
Release valve (65A) damaged.
Eliminate the jamming cause.
Check operation of water separator.

Code No. 73 5452
During repair replacement of parts the special grease (code no. 68 3868) must be applied to the surface of
the cylinder and the counter surfaces of the O-rings.
Disconnect nailer from hose before servicing. When connecting the tool, it must contain no fasteners.
Replace piston. At the same time
check bumper (28) for wear.
Have tool checked by service
workshop.
