Installation precautions

•

This appliance is fitted with a 15 Amp plug and lead,

therefore, no requirement to be hardwired. A 15 Amp

powerpoint should be fitted to the wall or interior of the

housing, by a qualified electrician only. The powerpoint

should be located above the top of the appliance, once

fitted, as not to be interfered with when the appliance is

pushed into place. The powerpoint MUST BE properly

earthed and meet all local and state authority laws.

This powerpoint must have its own dedicated line back

to the residence’s switchboard.

•  This appliance MUST NOT be connected using an

extension cable or powerboard. When plugged into the

dedicated powerpoint it must be pushed firmly into

place. Failure to do so could result in a short circuit,

electric shock or possible fire of this appliance.

•  If the cord is damaged in any way, it should not be

installed and contact to a qualified service technician

should be made to repair or replace the power cord.

•  This appliance is not designed to be installed in an

external environment or area subjected to excessive

moisture.

•  Adequate venitilation must be made available as shown

under ‘Built-In dimensions’ section on page 37. Not

following these requirements could void the warranty.

•  This appliance needs to be installed at a safe working

height ensuring easy placement and removal of dishes

during use. Dishes, trays and internal parts of the

steam oven become very hot during use and therefore

important they are easily accessible.

•  This steam oven has a removable water tank located on

the right hand side of the cavity. Care should be taken

when removing or placing tank in place and ensure it

is fitted all the way into place. This appliance does not

have the facility to be plumbed directly to an external

water source.

•  This appliance should not be lifted by the handle

to place into its housing. This procedure should be

handled by two persons and once in place should be af-

fixed to the cabinetry by means of two screws through

the holes located near the top of the inner frame. The

appliance must be level when in its final position.

•  If removal of the appliance is necessary in the future,

this should be done by two persons and also the power

plug should be gripped to remove from the powerpoint

and not by power lead itself.

Product use precautions

•  This appliance is recommended for domestic use only.

In any type of commercial environment the warranty

terms are reduced.

•  In hard water areas it is recommended to use only

purified or bottled water. In these areas the water is

subject to high concentrations of calcium and magnesi-

um minerals and creates more than ordinary limescale

deposit within the appliance and its components.

•  This appliance becomes very hot during use and care

upon opening is required as there will be an amount

of residual steam at the end of cooking. It is recom-

mended not to open the door immediately cooking has

finished as to reduce the amount of steam released.

•  Use of oven gloves or similar is required when removing

food and dishes to avoid burns and scalding.

•  If the appliance is not going to be used for prolonged

periods of time, such as going on holiday, it is recom-

mended to disconnect the appliance at the switchboard

and ensure any excess water removed.

•

NOTE: This appliance is fitted with a cooling fan that will

run for a period of time after cooking has finished. There

is no need for concern as this is normal operation to en-

sure the components and housing for the appliance are

cooled sufficiently to protect both from damage.

Cleaning and maintenance precautions / notes

•  WARNING: Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp

metal scrapers to clean the oven door glass since they

can scratch the surface, which may result in shattering

of the glass.

•  WARNING: This appliance cannot be cleaned using a

steam cleaner.

•  Regular descaling of the appliance is recommended to

ensure any deposits are removed, especially from the

internal heating water tank and its adjacent compo-

nents. Descaling should be carried out quarterly. We

recommend Hillmark’s Descaler for stockists visit

hillmark.com.au.

•  Regular cleaning is recommended to ensure prolonged

life of this appliance. Harsh abrasive or caustic clea-

ners should not be used. It is recommended to clean

the appliance with a soft cloth with a little dishwashing

detergent and warm water for inside and out and wiped

dry with another soft cloth. Cleaning the interior whilst

the oven is still warm will make cleaning easier.

•  Following use, residual water will be present and should

be wiped dry with a soft cloth. Particular attention

should be made around the lamp cover to ensure it

remains dry. Excessive water can be removed using

the suction ball supplied. Remove any excess water

from the spill tray located at front of the appliance and

accessible when door is open.
