Safety instructions
•
Do not use adaptors, multiple sockets and/or extension
cords.
•
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of
an external timer or separate remote control system.
• Ensure that the supply cord is not wedged, trapped or
under tension.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a
service technician or similarly qualified persons in order
to prevent a hazard.
•
Do not try to lift or move the appliance by pulling the door
handle.
•
Since the glass may break, you should be careful while
cleaning etc. and avoid hitting or knocking on it with
accessories.
• While the oven door is open, do not place anything on it
and do not let children climb on the door or sit on it.
Installation Warnings
• Do not operate the appliance before it is fully installed.
•
The appliance must be installed by an authorised techni
-
cian.
•
The electrical system of this appliance may be used safely
only when it is correctly connected to an efficient earthing
system in compliance with the safety standards currently
in effect.
•
When unpacking the appliance, make sure that it is not
damaged during transportation. In the case of any defect
or when in doubt about the proper functioning or opera-
tion of the device; do not use the appliance, disconnect
it from the power supply and contact your retailer or
costumer service immediately.
•
Before use, remove all plastic films protecting some
parts of the appliance (fascia - panel, parts in stainless
steel, etc)
•
Materials used for packaging (nylon, staplers, styrofoam
etc) may cause harmful effects to children they should be
disposed of immediately.
•
Protect your appliance against atmospheric effects such
as sun, rain, snow etc.
•
The surrounding materials of the appliance (i.e. furniture)
must be able to withstand a minimum temperature of
120°C.
During Usage
•
Before using the oven for the first time, heat the empty
oven at max. temperature for 1 hour in order to remove
any unpleasant smells and smoke caused by working
residues and thermal insulation. Make sure you do this in
a well ventilated area.
• During usage, the outer and inner surfaces of the oven
get hot.
Use cooking gloves to place cookware in the
oven or when removing it.
• Always grasp the oven door in the centre of the handle
and step back
while opening as escaping steam and hot
components could cause burns.
• Do not pour water into the hot oven, as scalding and
damage can be caused by hot steam
.
• Pay close attention to the oven while heating alcoholic
foods and cooking with solid or liquid oils as they could
potentially catch fire when the oven is hot.
Never pour water on flames that are caused by oil. Cover
the saucepan or frying pan with its lid in order to choke
the flame and turn the oven off.
•
The oven shelves and trays incline when pulled out. Be
careful not to let hot liquid spill over.
•
Do not put anything heavy, flammable or ignitable into
the oven. This includes cookware with plastic acces
-
sories (e.g. handles). Do not hang towels, dishcloths or
clothes on the appliance or its handles.
•
Do not lay out aluminium foil or place pans, pots etc. di
-
rectly on the baking chamber floor, as this can damage
the coating.
•
Fruit juices leave stains that can no longer be removed
from the surface. Use deep containers for moist cakes,
for example.
• When the appliance is not in use, Make sure that the
control knobs are on the “0” setting. We recommend
you turn it off, and isolate it from the electrical supply.
•
Do not use the appliance to heat a room.
• Do not use the oven for storage purposes.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet parts of the body
and do not use the appliance when barefoot.
• Do not obstruct the ventilation openings.
•
Do not allow supply cords from other small appliances to
come into contact with the oven.
During Cleaning and Maintenance
•
Disconnect the device from the power supply before any
cleaning or maintenance.
•
Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out
by children without supervision.
•
To maintain the efficiency and safety of your appliance,
we recommend you always use original spare parts and to
consult authorised specialist personnel in case of need.
• Ensure the appliance is switched off before replacing the
lamp to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
•
Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrapers to clean
the the appliance and the door glas as it can scratch
the surface which may result in the glass shattering or
permanent damage.
•
Do not use steam cleaners for cleaning the appliance.
