b. Physiology of baby breastfeeding
The MINIKIT SOLO Breast Pump provides mothers with the natural sensation of
breastfeeding by recreating the way in which babies feed.
It reproduces the 2 physiological phases of the breastfeeding:
- The stimulation phase to generate the milk let-down (short, rapid movements),
- The expression phase to collect milk (longer, less frequent movements).
d. After each use
➊
Disconnect the breast shield tubing and unscrew the
breast shield from the collection container.
➋
Remove the transparent «Clean Valve».
Use the collection container stand to avoid knocking
down the milk collection container.
➌
Secure the lid on to the collection container.
Refer to the next chapter on breast milk preservation/
defrosting. Milk is stored for 48 hours at 4° C in a
refrigerator.
➍
Disconnect the MINIKIT SOLO breast pump tubing.
➎
Disassemble the two parts making up the valve: white
diaphragm and intermediate ring.
➏
After each use, rinse all the parts in contact with the
milk with cold water, and then clean with hot and
soapy water. Rinse, leave to air dry on a paper towel.
