THE CONVECTION ELEMENT &
GRILL ELEMENT ASSEMBLY
CONVECTION ELEMENT
Refer to page 2-16 for the procedure for servic-
ing the convection element.
1.
Disconnect the electrical power to the
microwave oven.
2.
Disconnect the wires from the convection
element terminals.
3.
Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
4.
Touch the ohmmeter leads to the element
terminals. The meter should indicate ap-
proximately 10
Ω
.
GRILL ELEMENT ASSEMBLY
Refer to page 2-12 for the procedure for servic-
ing the grill element assembly.
1.
Disconnect the electrical power to the
microwave oven.
2.
Disconnect the black element wire from
the grill thermal fuse terminal.
3.
Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
4.
Touch one of the ohmmeter leads to the
metal strip between the ends of the ele-
ments. Touch the other lead to one of the
element screw terminals, and then the
other element screw terminal. The meter
should indicate approximately 7
Ω
at each
element screw terminal.
5.
Touch the ohmmeter leads to each of the
element screw terminals. The meter should
indicate approximately 14
Ω
.
