• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent
or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible
for their safety.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not use the cooker as a toy.
• Do not let the children play with it. Never let kids insert any objects into the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance for other purpose. This item has been designed solely for
domestic use; the
manufacturer ‘s liability shall not be engaged in the event of any
professional use, by any misuse or by any use not complying with the operating
instructions.
• Keep these instructions in order to be able to read again- if necessary.

• This appliance can be used for multiple purposes: cooking,
preserving, warming up in
water, preparation of hot beverages, blanching vegetables, etc. Always slowly warm up and
permanently stir food which is viscous and may easily be burnt. If your appliance should be
cooking even when it is empty, an additional safety function to avoid drying out will prevent
the appliance from overheating.
• Please allow the cooker to entirely cool down before you refill it with water. This avoids risk
of burns due to hot steam and to protect the special surface from damages.
• When using the cooker for the first time, a slight odour might be recognizable, which,
however, will disappear short term.
Volume
• The device has a volume of 27 litres (GWK-27A) and 16 litres (GWK-16A) However, be
sure to never fill it up higher than 4 cm (1.6 in.) below its upper casing rim.
Temperature Consistency
•
The temperature determination and degree indication is usually influenced by the ambient
temperature and local conditions (e.g. height above sea level, atmospheric pressure etc.).
Under certain circumstances, this can lead to the fact that the liquid is already boiling,
although temperature adjustment or temperature display of 100 ° C is not reached yet.
•
Slight temperature fluctuations in a range of 3-5% are accordingly normal.
•
Constant cooking with a desired temperature (e.g. for sous-vide dishes) works within the
above-mentioned slight fluctuations range.
Important Note
• Due to hygienic reasons, make sure to boil or sterilize the appliance before usage of food.
• Be sure to completely unwind the appliance’s power cable and to connect it to a grounded
socket.
