Scan List
Each channel can be related to one scan list though programming by your dealer. The radio can scan
only on a channel related to a scan list. Each scan list contains up to 16 channels (including the
current channel), including analogue and digital channels.
Under the Scan List menu item, you can check the scan channels under a scan list used by the
current channel, or add a channel to the list.
Note:
If you change a scan channel in the list, you change the scan channels for another channel
related to this list.
Nuisance (Temporary) Delete
During scan, if the radio dwells on an unnecessary channel, e.g. interference channel, you may
select Nuisance Delete to delete this channel before continuing the scan. You may also add a
temporary channel during scan.
Note:
After exiting scan mode, a temporary channel added or deleted will be invalid.
Scanning Revert Channel
During radio scan, press the PTT key to enable the radio to transmit or talk on a preset channel. This
channel is set by your local dealer using the customer programming software.
Prior Scan
If a priority channel is set in a scan list, the channel will be scanned in cycle, i.e. scanning the channel
once after each common channel. For example, if a scan list has channels 1, 2, 3 and 4 with channel
2 as a prior channel, the scan order will be 1

5.3.Zones
A zone is a group of available traffic channels. You may select a zone by pressing a side key.
5.4.Preference Settings
You can set the parameters of the radio so that it meets your need, including power, squelch level,
alert tones, sleep mode, CPS password and speech encryption. Setting items may vary for different
dealers.
Power
When the radio operates under high power, communication distance is longer but battery life is
shorter. You can set a power level for each channel.
Squelch Level
You can set a squelch level (ranging from 0 to 9) for the radio. The higher the squelch level is, the
less noise or interference there will be but the harder to receive weak signals, and vice versa.
Alert Tone
You can enable or disable various alert tones via the PC Tool.
