1. INTRODUCTION

The KINGSPAN TRIBUNE Unvented tank is made from Duplex Stainless Steel for excellent corrosion resistance. KINGSPAN

TRIBUNE has a strong rust-proofed steel case and is highly insulated with environmentally friendly foam.

2. INSTALLATION

WARNING

The KINGSPAN TRIBUNE is a pressurised unit. Care must be taken to install the relevant safety valves and expansion

equipment, as specified in these instructions, to ensure the safe use of this unit. Failure to do so may result in serious injury

or death.

2.1 UNPACKING AND POSITIONING THE UNIT

The KINGSPAN TRIBUNE tank should be stored in its original packaging in an upright position in an area free from excessive

damp.

Carefully unpack the unit and check that no delivery damage is present. DO NOT USE the unit if there is any sign of damage.

Site the tank on vertically on a flat base capable of supporting the weight of the tank when full. If the tank is to be located in

an area where damage from water leaks would cause damage to the surrounding area or substructure a drained catch pan

should be installed to remove the water to a water drain. The pan should have a minimum diameter 2” greater than the tank and

a wall height maximum of 2”. The pan should be connected to drain by a ¾” bore drain. Consult a certified plumber for more

information

The KINGSPAN TRIBUNE should be located near to a drain to allow the drainage of water during maintenance and as an outlet

for the safety equipment located on the unit.

The KINGSPAN TRIBUNE tank can supply outlets above it or at some distance from it. Site the unit to minimise “dead leg”

distances, especially to the point of most frequent use.

Outlets above the KINGSPAN TRIBUNE will reduce the outlet pressure available by 1.45psi for every 3’ of height difference.

The unit should be protected from frost. Particular care is needed if placing in a garage or outbuilding. All exposed pipework

should be insulated. KINGSPAN TRIBUNE must be installed VERTICALLY on a flat base capable of supporting the weight of

the tank when full.

Access for maintenance of the valves should be considered. The electric elements are 16” long element and care should be

taken to ensure that they can be withdrawn for servicing if required. The discharge pipework from the safety valves should fall

continuously and terminate safely.

The Kingspan Tribune is designed as a domestic hot water tank.  Only persons who have the proper qualifications to design

and install heating systems should install this unit. Any applications or unauthorized alterations to the tank may be dangerous

and will invalidate warranty.
