SPECIAL FEATURES
STANDBY OPERATION
A parallel diode shall be fitted between the main and battery charge outputs to allow the
externally connected battery to hold up the main output in the event of a power failure.
Operational up to the maximum load current of 4A.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION
VO1 Protected by primary power limit at Type 110% of Max Output Power, (170W).
VO2 Constant current limit at 2A, +/- 0.3A dc.
OVER VOLTAGE PROTECTION - MAIN O/P
VO1 Protected against the output voltage exceeding 125% of nominal.
Over voltage Protection - Battery Charge O/P
VO2 Protected against the output voltage exceeding a maximum level of 30.0V dc
LOCAL LED INDICATORS
Battery Low - Local LED Indicator, (Amber coloured)
LED illuminated when the battery voltage falls to a voltage within the range:-
19.5V to 20.5V dc, measured at PSU terminals
Battery Disconnection/Charger Fault - Local LED Indicator, (Amber coloured)
LED illuminated when the battery is open circuit or is disconnected from the
charger/PSU, or if there is a charger fault, which would be indicated by zero
current
flow from the output.
Note
This LED will be capable of being disabled, by a manual link, if the power
supply unit is operated with the battery being intentionally disconnected.
Power Fail - Local LED Indicator, (Amber coloured)
Note
The sole function of the LED is to provide local indication only
