Calibrations Procedures
Transfer function calibrations
Purpose and Procedure
The signal path for the Type C Tx tests always includes additional cables
and switch relays, that differ from the defined setup of the pure standard
tests. Because of this, additional calibrations are required.
The
Check Transfer function
procedures are meant to verify the right
location of the transfer functions. They don't calculate or measure any
S-parameter or transfer functions.
There is a separated calibration for each signal path as shown in
Figure 16
Transfer function calibrations
Parameters
Most calibration and test procedures as well as the groups containing
them, have parameters that control the details of how the procedures are
run. First, select a specific calibration or test procedure or one of the
groups containing in the N5990A procedure tree. The parameters are
displayed in a property list on the right side of the screen. If they are not
displayed, click the
Properties
button. Depending on the user selection on
the left side of the top of the list, the list is either ordered alphabetically or
in categories.
