Use Variable ISI Channel
Select the corresponding check-box to use the variable ISI channel, else
clear it.
The Artek CLE1000-A2 (Variable ISI Channel) can be selected to fine-tune
the ISI value. This box is connected via USB to the PC where ValiFrame is
run. If this is not selected, the ISI value must be adjusted manually and the
selection of the ISI channel is up to the user.
Use Internal ISI
Select the corresponding check-box to use the internal ISI, else clear it.
AUX Controller
For testing, an AUX Controller (Auxiliary Channel Controller) is required.
The AUX Controller is the bidirectional communication lane for
DisplayPort. ValiFrame supports the ‘Unigraf DPT 200’ AUX Controller.
For Receiver (in short, “Rx”) tests, the AUX Controller is used to read and
write the DisplayPort Configuration Data (DPCD) register in order to
prepare the DUT for Rx testing and to read the DUT state. For Tx test, the
AUX Controller is used to read and write the DPCD register in order to
control the DUT to generate specific signals.
Use Rx Switch
This switch allows to reduce the required number of connection changes.
When Use Rx Switch is selected, the Artek CLE1000-A2 is also
automatically selected because it is required for the setup.
In order to use a BitifEye 2100 Series Switch System for automated
receiver test, the ValiFrame option 002 (Switch System Support, available
from BitifEye as BIT-2001-0002-0) is required. The software provides you
the option to choose between BIT2100A and BIT2100B.
Support for Type-C PDOs
Check the option “Support for Type-C PDOs” for Type-C PDO tests. You
must also choose a power supply from the following drop-down options:
