Step 1: Unpack and Inspect the Module
ESD precaution
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage or destroy electronic components. All work on
electronic assemblies should be performed at a static-safe work station. The following
figure shows an example of a static-safe work station using two types of ESD protection.

CAUTION
The M9217A is shipped in materials which prevent damage from static. The module
should only be removed from the packaging in an anti-static area after ensuring that
correct anti-static precautions are taken. Store all modules in anti-static envelopes when
not in use.
