Enable the New TRX Module (in the XSA configuration file)
The new TRX module will not be detected by the E6650A software until it is enabled. The TRX can
be enabled in a configuration file (as described here) or by means of a command. (
New TRX Module (by sending a SCPI command)” on page 22.
1.
Open a windows explorer window and go to:
E: \Agilent\Instrument\

Locate the XSAconfig.xml file, and edit the file entry for the TRX module number you just
installed, changing "False" to "True".

Save the file and then shut down and restart the EXM instrument. The XSA configuration file is
read by the instrument at power-up.
4.
Update the FPGA code to ensure that the installed version of instrument software matches the
FPGA code installed in the TRX module.
