Peristaltic Pumps Principle
Peristaltic pumps work by reduction of a volume
within a tube by a series of rollers. The fluid is forced
through tubing by a number of rollers, which rotate
squeezing a flexible tube against the
pump housing
+ Large Flows range
+ Self priming
+ Tube selection (autoclavable)
+ Easy cleaning
+ No carry over (different tubes)
+ Reversible (DC)
+ Low maintenance
- Volume variation from tube to tube
- Regular tube calibration required

1.3.2 Basic
concept
The D

UMP
1000 is an easy to handle multi-functional Peristaltic Laboratory Pump offing a wide
range of functions and a wide dosing range in only 1 unit. Precision and reproducibility are depending
the ratio between tube and desired volume. The smaller the tube the higher the precision and reproduci-
bility, but the smaller the pump speed. Due to its sturdy metal double pump head DosiPump accepts a
high range of tubing’s, starting with 2 x 6mm (inner/outer tube diameter) for small, precise dosings, up to
double tube sets 8 x 12 mm for high speed dosings. Thanks to its double pump head with 2 x 5 special
rolls, DosiPump eliminates most pulsation by balancing the typical peristaltic pulsation-peaks by deferred
pump peaks.
