• How to Use Remote C o n t r o l Function
6. A P P L I C A T I O N S
T h i s equipment is characterized by an optional remote
control function.
F o r the V T - 1 7 7 , insert the connector plug a t the end
of the cord f r o m the R T - 6 2 (option) into the connector
on its rear panel f o r remote control of range
selection.
The V T - 1 7 6 a l l o w s remote control by using the R T - 6 1 .
Remove the blank board f r o m the rear panel of the
V T - 1 7 6 .
Connect the accompanying receptacle to the R T - 6 1 .
Connect. the connector connected to the receptacle to
the one on the printed circuit board of the V T - 1 7 6 .
F o r d e t a i l s , refer to the instruction manual f o r R T - 6 1
or R T - 6 2 .
The basic use of your voltmeter is to measure sinusoidal
wave voltages a s an A C voltmeter. In addition, it
provides a wide v a r i e t y of applications a s described
below.
Amplifier G a i n Measurement
V o l t m e t e r is capable of measuring an a m p l i f i e r g a i n ,
which is a signal m a g n i f i c a t i o n f r o m point A to B in
F i g u r e 4 w i t h a signal generator connected to the a m p l i f i e r
input. If the measured signal levels a t points A and B
are a and b d B , respectively, then the gain i s ( b - a ) d B .
