Adjusting the TONE
You can adjust the sound quality w hen the receiver is in the PCM stereo
mode, analog stereo mode.

Press the SOUND key to select the SOUND mode.
When input signal is Dolby Digital and STEREO

: Select this to adjust the low frequency range.
TREBLE : Select this to adjust the high frequency range.

• The bass and treble levels are adjustable from -10 to +10 in 2 step
increments.
• The adjustment item is displayed for approximately 20 seconds.

M uting the sound
The
M UTE key lets you mute the sound of the speakers.
Press the M UTE key.

To cancel
Press the M UTE key again so that the “M UTE” indicator goes off.

ACTIVE EQ mode
You can enjoy a m ore im pressive sound effect w hen ACTIVE EQ is
turned ON during Dolby Digital and DTS playback and, w hen in PCM and
analog stereo mode.
Press the ACTIVE EQ key for the follow ing selections;

Listening w ith headphones

Connect headphones to the PHONES jack.
• Headphones w ith a stereo mini plug can be connected.
• The sounds from all speakers are cut off.
