The GPIB cable connectors are stackable. For additional non-Series 2600 GPIB
instruments in the test system, daisy-chain a GPIB cable from one instrument to
another.
GPIB address
At the factory, the GPIB is set for address value 26. The address value can be set
to any address value between 0 and 30. However, the address cannot conflict
with the address assigned to other instruments in the system.
The GPIB address can be changed from the communications menu. To access
the menu, press the MENU key, select COMMUNICATIONS, and then select
GPIB.
The GPIB address is saved in non-volatile memory. The address value will not
change when power is cycled or a reset command (
reset
or *RST) is sent.
RS-232
RS-232 connections
To connect the Series 2600 to the RS-232 interface, use a straight-through
RS-232 cable (see
shows the location of the RS-232
connector on the SourceMeter. When connecting the cable, make sure to tighten
the captive screws.

• Baud rate: 9600
• Data bits: 8
• Parity: None
