Offset compensated (OCOMP) ohms measurements
For more accurate low resistance measurements, all Integra systems provide the
offset compensation mode to eliminate errors from the thermoelectric EMF
effects. During the measurement cycle, the built-in ohms current source is turned
off, and then turned on again, and the resulting EMF error is automatically sub-
tracted. This technique is typically used when measuring values less than 100
Ω.
Use 4-wire connections, as shown in Figure 6 B (a).
With the

4 function selected, OCOMP is enabled buy pressing the SHIFT key
and then the
Ω
4 (OCOMP) key. When enabled, the “OCOMP” annunciator is on.
Valid measurement ranges for OCOMP is 10k

or less, or use Auto range.
