will be noticed by looking at the progress bar which fills the full bar after each
puff. Once data is collected, the progress bar should go back to 0 fairly
quickly, if however it gets stuck at full bar and takes few seconds to go back to
zero, it is a sign of communication problem and calibration should be
abandoned and rectify umbilical cable problem. See below. If boot mode fails,
it could be due to the above problem also.
Suggested Solution:
1. Check the wiring is as per assembly instructions.
2. Check crimp terminals are not lose
3. Check for any wire cuts – in particular GREEN and BROWN wires used
for data communication between the Hand Piece and the host PC. It
has been observed that as shown in the picture below, when the unit is
cased up during assembly, the wires get caught in the screw holes as
shown below which compromises communication or any other signal
carrying wire.
4. As a routine check, measure voltages on PIN2, PIN3 and PIN4,
although they are most certainly OK if the unit gets as far as calibration.
