9.1

Operating modes and interface configuration

9.1.1 RS 485 Bus operation

The RS485 port of the meter is designed for operation at the KBR Energy Bus. You can operate one or several 

multicount 3D6-1-LCD-ES-...

 devices together with the Energy Bus across great distances. The bus is 

connected to the PC via the interface converter RS 232/485 or the 

MULTIMASTER

. With the corresponding 

Windows® Software, all bus devices can be configured and visualized. On demand, we will be glad to provide 
information about which other devices you can connect to the Energy Bus and on the functions of our 
Windows® software.
Information on the structure and the technical parameters of the Energy Bus can be found in our installation 
guide for the KBR Energy Bus. Just send a request for this installation guide.
