• Check that the spokes are uniformly and
well tensioned, and that the rims are not
warped.
HANDLEBARS & HANDLEBAR POST
• Adjust to a comfortable angle and height.
Check that the handlebar post is
sufficiently inserted in the front fork tube
(it should not be possible to see the
marking for the top position).
• Check, and if necessary retighten,
the handlebar post screw and the
handlebar clip screws.
• Check that the grips fit firmly on the
handlebars and cannot slide off.
Replace worn or loose grips.
SADDLE
• Adjust to a comfortable angle and height.
• Check that the handlebar post is
sufficiently inserted in the frame (it should
not be possible to see the marking for the
top position).
• Check, and if necessary retighten, the saddle
clip and the saddle post clip so that the
saddle cannot twist in relation to the frame.
TYRE
• Check the tyre pressures before use.
• Check that the tyres are pumped to the
pressure given on the side of the tyres.
Pump up the tyres when necessary with a
hand or foot pump (do not use
unregulated compressors or equivalent).
• Check that the tyres fit properly on the rims.
FRAME
• Check that the frame is not cracked or
otherwise damaged. If the frame is bent
or damaged it must be immediately
replaced. A damaged frame increases the
pressure on the other parts of the balance
bike and is therefore not safe to use.
