TIPS FOR USES IN THE FIELD
• Lower the SENS setting or move the
search area if there is interference from
electric cables, televisions, radios or other
electrical devices in the search area.
• Audio signals can be emitted when
searching in mineral rich areas even if
there are no metal objects. If this
happens, try lowering the SENS setting
and set a higher discrimination level, and
hold the search coil so close to the ground
that the signalling stops. To determine a
suitable setting for the DISC control, place
a metal object in mineral rich ground or
wet sand and try different settings.
• When searching in a rubbish tip, set the
DISC control to the middle position so that
the product ignores most worthless metal
objects like nails, capsules, tins and small
pieces of iron.
• Remove all excavation tools made of
metal during the search.
• In PINPOINT mode the product detects all
types of metal, which increases the risk of
interference when searching for small
metal objects near larger metal objects.
Try moving away the large metal object,
or move the search area.
• Higher sensitivity gives lower
discrimination. Lower the sensitivity for
better discrimination.
• Move the search coil horizontally and
vertically in a crosswise pattern over the
area where the audio signal was heard to
localise the object precisely.
EARPHONE JACK
Connect stereo earphones (sold separately)
with 3.5 mm plug to the earphone jack.
The internal speaker is deactivated.
NOTE:
• Set a low volume before you start to
listen, otherwise there is a risk of
hearing impairment.
• Do not listen at extremely high volume.
Prolonged exposure to high volume can
cause a permanent hearing impairment.
• Do not wear earphones when using the
product in areas where there is traffic.
Pay attention to traffic safety at all
times.

shorten the service-life of electronic
appliances and damage the product
casing.
