The following three types of discs are compatible with the PR-1 (CD, CD-R, and CD-RW).
Below is a brief description of each type of CD disc.
<CD>

CD discs contain recorded music or sound. This type of disc is for playback only. The PR-1 can playback this type of disc
but this type of disc cannot be used to record music on the PR-1.
<CD-R>
CD-R is an abbreviation for Compact Disc Recordable.
These discs are recordable but, you cannot erase what you have recorded.
Also, once you finalize the disc (see pg.17) you cannot record to the disc even if there is recording time remaining.
There are two different sizes of CD-R discs.
The recording time for
650MB discs is ... maximum 74 min
700MB discs is ... maximum 80 min
<CD-RW>
CD-RW an abbreviation for Compact Disc ReWritable.
This disc is also a recordable type but it is possible to erase songs one at a time or to erase all songs. When erasing one song
at a time the PR-1 can only erase the last song on the disc. You cannot erase songs from the middle of the song list one at
a time.
There are two different sizes of CD-R discs.
The recording time for
