The QPSK-QAM transmodulator can be adjusted with the control unit of the UFG 308 or UFG 312 base module carrier.
Required control unit software version :
at least Version V 7.00
For adjustment, it is necessary to connect the control unit to the module.
The keys mentioned below are on the control unit (For explanation of their functions,
refer to the operating instructions of the UFG 308, UFG 312 base module carriers).
Note :
The settings and values shown are just examples and do not necessarily coincide
with the delivery status of the unit.
Displays
(*)
Display for “desired operation not yet attained”. The display also remains in case of error.
If the indicator “
*
” flashes continuously or in intervals, it indicates that the channel unit cannot attain its
correct operation status.
The reason may be one of the following :
●
Incorrect setting of input frequency or symbol rate
●
Incorrect setting of the input symbol rate for operation mode “Stuffing“
●
The input signal is missing
(!)
The exclamation mark indicates that the combination of the set output symbol rate is not
sufficient to process the input data rate.
(TP)
Display for transport stream processor has a submenu.
(S) or
(P)
Display for operation mode “Stuffing” or “Programme filter”
(PRBS)
If
“PRBS”
is displayed, it indicates that the “Pseudorandom sequence” is switched on.
This standard signal is only needed for measurements. For normal operation (conversion),
PRBS
must be switched off.
Note :
During initialisation of the channel unit, an indicator (
*
) located in the top-right corner will flash.
