9. Tire pressure
The Morgan M Versus (MGNM-VRS) uses solid or air-filled tires in the front
and middle and solid tires in the rear. The choice of having solid or air-filled
tires is made by the user during the ordering of the wheelchair. In order to
prevent tire damage and to preserve the performance of the wheelchair, the
tire pressure must be checked at least on a monthly basis. The tire pressure
should be:
Front air-filled tires (small): max. 275 Kpa / 40 PSI / 2.8 bar
Middle air-filled tires (large): max. 240 Kpa / 35 PSI / 2.4 bar
10. The wheelchair
10.1. Chassis
The chassis is the base of the wheelchair. It contains wheels, drive motors,
batteries and electronics. The steel parts of the chassis are electrolytic
anodized and powder coated to ensure a long life without corrosion.
Each of the middle wheels is propelled by a powerful drive motor. These
motors also take care for the steering of the wheelchair. With this system it is
possible to turn on the spot. This makes the wheelchair optimal for indoor use.
10.1.1 Chassis suspension
The chassis has independent suspension on each of the six wheels. The
stiffness can be adjusted to your personal requirements.
