The activated anti-tippers may bump into the ground when
negotiating steps or curbs. Therefore, deactivate the anti-
tippers if needed.
8.16 Seat and backrest cushions
Seat and backrest cushions are available in different lengths and widths to
offer optimal comfort and support. The size depends on the specifications of
the wheelchair. The c

is removable for cleaning.
8.17 Positioning belts
8.17.1 Pelvic belt
The pelvic belt prevents the user from sliding downward in the wheelchair or
falling out of the wheelchair. When the pelvic belt is properly adjusted and
tightened, it should fit snug with all slack removed so that the user is secured.
Use the pull strap (A) for daily adjustments, such as accommodating clothing
changes.
If this adjustment is insufficient, it might be required to re-fit the pelvic belt at
the fixations point (B) (refer to
).
Caution
Ensure that the pelvic belt does not get caught in wheelchair
components like the seat cushion and armrest.
