!

  DieTake-off the 6 cell caps

!

Draw a samble from each cell

with the battery hydrometer

!

Return each acid sample to the

same cell

At 20 °C, the acid of a fully-
charged battery has a specific
weight of 1,28 kg/l

The acid of a partially-charged
battery has a specific weight
between 1,00 and 1,28 kg/l

The specific gravity of the
electrolyte must be the same in
all cells

Battery acid weight under 1,15 kg/l

!

If the battery acid level is too low,

top-up the cells with distilled
water until the top edge of the
plates is just covered with liquid

!

Charge the battery until a specific

weight of 1,28 kg/l is reached

Charge the battery

 Danger!

!

  Always heed safety precautions

for handling batteries!

!

  Charge the battery with the

smallest possible charging
current

!

It is essential to observe the

instructions provided by the
manufacturerer of the charging
unit

!

  Take-off all cell caps

!

Connect the negative pole lead of

the battery charger to the
negative pole connection of the
battery

!

Connect the positive pole lead of

the battery charger to the positive
pole connection of the battery

!

  Switch on battery charger and
