DANGER
Risk of electric shock.
Never use the charger when it is raining or
there is high humidity or in humid rooms!
Note:
Average charging time is approx. 10 -12
hours.
Plug the mains plug of the charger into
a power outlet.
The charger is controlled electronically and
completes the charging process automati-
cally. All functions of the device are auto-
matically interrupted during the charging
process.
The battery control display shows the pro-
gress of the charging process when the
plug is inserted:
Remove battery plug and join it to the
charging cable.
Note:
Connect the charger to the detachable bat-
tery plug at the machine and not to the plug
installed on the machine.
Switching on the charger
Add distilled water one hour before the
charging process comes to an end; fol-
low the correct acid level. There are
corresponding indicators on the battery.

WARNING
Risk of chemical burns. Adding water to the
battery in its discharged state can cause
the acid to leak!
Use safety glasses while handling battery
acid and follow the safety instructions to
avoid personal injury or damage to clothes.
Should the acid spray on to the skin or
clothes, rinse immediately with lots of wa-
ter.
ATTENTION
Use only distilled or desalinated water (EN
50272-T3) for filling the battery.
Do not add any substances (so-called per-
formance improving agents), else warranty
claims will not be entertained.
Unplug the charger from the mains.
In the case of models without a built-in
cable: remove the battery cable from
the charging cable and connect it to the
appliance.
Empty tanks, whenever required
Turn the running gear to the front with
your foot.
ATTENTION
Cables at the back of the device can get
damaged. Always tilt the chassis forward
before tilting the tank backward.
Turn out the screw and tilt the tank
backwards.
Lift battery cover.
Clamp off the minus pole of the battery.
Clamp off the remaining cables from the
battery.
Loosen the fastening bracket behind
the batteries.
Remove the batteries.
Dispose of the used batteries according
to the local provisions.
The brushes must be installed before the
initial operation (see "Maintenance works").
Insert the vacuum bar into the vacuum
bar suspension in such a manner that
the profiled sheet is positioned above
the suspension.
