Before the DBS operation, select the remote con-
trol mode for the DBS.

IMPORTANT
• Slide the remote control mode
selector to the lowest position.

Press [DBS].

Operate the remote control by
pointing it at the DBS.
NOTE
• When the remote control mode selector is slid to
the lowest position and [DBS] is pressed, some
buttons may not work.
• It is recommended that you slide the remote
control mode selector to [AUDIO] after using this
function. Most of the other functions can be used
when the remote control mode selector is at
[AUDIO].

Press number buttons to enter the
manufacturer code.
Examples:
For a Hitachi VCR: Press [0], then [4].
For a Mitsubishi VCR: Press [1], then [3].
When the manufacturer of your VCR has 2 or more
codes, select the manufacturer codes in turn and
find the one that operates the VCR and the remote
control properly.
The initial code setting is “01 (JVC)”.
