This is the setting for engaging timer recording standby mode.

:
Press TIMER

to engage timer recording standby mode.
ON
:
Timer recording standby mode is automatically engaged when
the unit is turned off.

RESUME
^
OFF / ON / DISC RESUME
When this function is set to A ON B or A DISC RESUME B , you can use
the resume function.
OFF
:
You cannot use the resume function.
ON
:
The resume function works on the disc loaded on the unit.
DISC RESUME
:
The unit retains a memory of the resume points of the last
30 discs played back, even though they have been ejected.
NOTE:
A DISC RESUME B setting works on DVD VIDEO, VCD, SVCD and
finalised DVD-R/DVD-RW (Video mode) discs. For other types of
discs, the function under
A ON B setting will be applied even if
A RESUME B is set to A DISC RESUME B .
