The disc cannot be played back because its
region code is not compatible. (

PBC (Playback control)
• PBC is a signal recorded in a VCD (version
2.0) for controlling VCD playback. You can
operate software that has interactive or
search functions using the menu display
recorded in a PBC-compatible VCD.

To play back a VCD without PBC, follow
the operation below.
• Select the desired track number with the
number buttons while playback is
stopped.
• While playback is stopped, press

to select the desired track number,
and then press
.

To play back a VCD with PBC, follow the
operation below.
• Press

during playback. Or,

once (when Resume func-
tion is on, press twice) and then press

The display window of the main unit shows
"PBC".
• While a VCD or SVCD is being played
