5 Measuring rH
The rH value for a medium is calculated from the measured pH, redox and
temperature of the liquid.
5.1
Measuring pH
✱
Immerse the pH combination electrode and the temperature sensor in the
medium to be measured.
✱
Connect the pH combination electrode and the temperature sensor to the
hand-held meter.
✱
Configure the hand-held meter for pH measurement, see Chapter 3.1
“Select measurement function: pH/redox mV/redox mV
10.
✱
Press the
key to store the measurement.
5.2
Determining the rH value
✱
Connect the redox combination electrode and the temperature sensor to
the hand-held meter.
✱
Configure the hand-held meter for rH measurement, see Chapter 3.1
“Select measurement function: pH/redox mV/redox mV
10.
✱
The main display will show the rH value that has been determined. The
subsidiary display will alternately show the previously measured pH and the
temperature.
For this measurement, special care should be taken that both the pH and redox
combination electrodes are in a perfect state, and that they are calibrated and
thoroughly cleaned and dried before making the measurement.
The hand-held meter must not be switched off between the individual
measurements, otherwise the stored measurements will be deleted.
