SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully before use.
Save them for future reference.
• This appliance can be used by children from eight years and upwards and by
persons with physical, sensorial or mental disabilities, or persons who lack
experience or knowledge, if they are supervised or receive instructions
concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the risks involved
with its use. Do not allow children to play with the appliance. Cleaning and
maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are more than
eight years old, and are kept under supervision.
• Keep the appliance and its power cord out of the reach of children under eight
years of age.
• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
• Do not use the appliance if it is damaged or not working properly, or if the
power cord or plug are damaged. A damaged power cord must be replaced by
an authorised service centre, or other qualified personnel, to ensure safe use.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle and knobs.
• Do not expose the power cord or plug to water or other liquids – risk of fire,
electric shock and/or personal injury.
• Unplug the power cord before cleaning and when the appliance is not in use.
Switch off the appliance and allow it to cool before removing the filter and
before cleaning.
• Do not use accessories other than those recommended or sold by the
appliance manufacturer. The use of other accessories can result in fire, electric
shock and/or personal injury.
• The pot is only intended to be used with this appliance. Never use the pot on
a cooker.
• Do not use strong or abrasive detergents.
• Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table or worktop, or to
come into contact with hot surfaces.
• Do not place the appliance on, or near a source of heat.
• Unplug the power cord to disconnect the power supply to the appliance. Do not
pull the power cord to unplug the plug.
